Description:
The ’Lélektér’ foundation was created by people specified in the social sphere in 2009 with a local seat in Veszprém. In our profession, the most emphasized value is the community’s keeping power and the community’s ability to create value. There isn’t enough capacity in the child protection care system and in the institution of education to create a community, so this leads to distorted, damaged values within families, so youth, the children can’t get stable standards, which would help to take responsibility in social life
Our foundation’s specialists make a multi-professional team, where you can find:
socialworkers,
supervisors,
psychologists,
mediators, youth helpers
socialpoliticians
The main profile of our Foundation is prevention, harm reduction and the maintenance of the community area for young people. We have 40 qualified peer helpers, who regulary take part in our programs and 20 more volunteers who can be easily activated. The term ’prevention’ includes the primer prevention in behaviour problems, drug addiction, andsexually transmitted diseases.
On the harm reduction area we work as a guiding body. We help young people who come to us in our office, which is open 8 hours a day, or if they are beyond our help we send them to our partner organizations. We have been working together with several other organisations that help young people as well in the Youth House. The other organizations that work in there are: ’Várfok Alapítvány’ ( supports civil societies, maintains community centers),VEDIÖK’ (Student Council of Schools in Veszprém), ’VECSA’ (Student Council for University students), ’VEHA’( organises educational university programs). These societies, organizations often work together, the volunteers can join them and get to know more about the civil communities.
We have been getting the opportunity to manage the professional programmes of Youth House in Veszprém since 1st of October 2014.
Our foundation is sending, hosting and coordinating organization in the EVS program since december of 2014.
