Description:
56 years old; born in Switzerland with Italian citizenship, graduated in Astronomy (University of Bologna, Italy, 1982); one child; living in Rome.
Since 1983 I have been working for developing youth potentials, with particular focus both on transnational education mobility actions for young people (intercultural education, exchanges, voluntary experiences, vocational and educational training activities) and on youth active participation's processes to shape present and future society (information, counselling and leadership at local, national and European levels).
I have been elected to the post of Vice-President, first, and Secretary General, later, of CIGRI (Youth Italian Committee for International Relationships, independent organization recognized at national and international levels to operate as de facto National Youth Council, 1988-1994); I have been elected as Vice-President of CENYC (Council of European National Youth Committees, 1990-1992) and as Member of the Board of Internal Auditors of YFEC (Youth Forum of the European Communities, 1992-1993); I have been elected as Treasurer, first, and Chairperson, later, of ICYE (International Culture and Youth Exchange, 1997-2007).
Over the last 30 years, I have been working for public and private organizations operating in the fields of youth information and counselling; planning projects, managing programs and training stakeholders of the youth policy sector at local, national and European levels. I am an experienced professional in youth policy at large.
Particularly, I developed the Eurodesk project in Italy. Since 1997, I am holding the post of Chairperson of the Eurodesk Italy association (no profit body governed by public law), which is in charge of managing and developing services, activities and the nation-wide network of local relays.
