We have been participating in the Youth In Action Programme since 2006. We are an accredited hosting, sending, and coordinating organization for the EVS program and have hosted around 390 volunteers .The volunteers support the various activities of our organization. One of our main goals is to help youngsters develop their key competences and skills from the age of 6.The long-term goal is to prepare young people for the labor market and their future in general, to encourage their sense of initiative and entrepreneurship and to promote active citizenship. We assist them by providing life guidance, career advice and introducing them to the concept of volunteering. Among other things, it is very important for us to involve the local youth as volunteers as well as to make them aware of the possibilities and opportunities offered by the European Union. In order to achieve this, we use non-formal methods to involve the youth. We are running a youth centre, where the youth can get access to new and useful informational about labor market, studies, career and EU projects. We are holding different types of clubs there, like culture clubs, CV writing workshops, career clubs, and youth democracy clubs. In general, we try to provide useful free time activities. We are also a Eurodesk partner office. We have partnership agreements with primary schools, high schools and universities as well as with sport and health centers, kindergartens and the local municipality. We regularly hold presentations for the youth in all of these places about youth projects, culture, social work and life, healthcare, psychological training and career advances. Apprentices from the social worker department of the local university work with us. We are working with people with disabilities and fewer opportunities.
