Edinburgh and Lothians Regional Equality Council (ELREC) promotes equality of opportunity for all; fights discrimination; promotes a culture of human rights; fosters good relations in our communities; and promotes cooperation and partnership to meets its aims. Among many other activities, ELREC carries out the Youth Zone Project. The Youth Zone is space created for all young people in Edinburgh with different cultural backgrounds who are looking for employment, volunteering opportunities or higher education. During the Youth Zone drop-in service (Wednesday, 4pm-7pm) young people can also find information about youth mobility opportunities.
